Lots of little details add up to make this apron extra special. The authentic flour bag used was by General Mills Inc. The logo and print are in blue. The logo is an updated version of the original logo -- a circle featuring the company's name and wheat heads. Another company design is in the middle of the logo. The flag on the bottom of the bag was yet another logo added in the 1940s, so the sack probably was made around that time or a little later.
Under the main center logo are the words "Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." To the upper left are the words "100 Pds Net", and a small square noting the bag production company, Chase Bag Co. of Kansas City. To the upper right of the main logo is a smaller symbol with the logo and the words "Products Control, Quality and Uniformity Controlled." The bottom of the apron features the flag as well as the words "Manufactured by General Mills, Inc." and "General Offices - Minneapolis, Minnesota."
Vintage blue trim is used for the edging and ties. You may adjust the length simply by putting a knot in the neck tie.
The apron waist is 31 inches.
The bodice is 16 inches wide.
The length is 32 inches from the top center to the hem.
The ties are 31 inches.
This apron fits sizes 1X to 3X.
Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent further fading of the logo and wording.
