This full-length apron is made from a lovely vintage seersucker fabric in a rust and teal geometric print. In many lights and from afar, the background fabric appears to be burgundy; close up inspection in the direct sunlight shows it is more of a rust color. However, burgundy accents were chosen as they best complemented the fabric. The design itself from afar also looks different than the close up view. From a distance, it looks like there are soft diamond shapes; up close you can see the shapes look more like a leaf with a flower in the middle. Orange and white add to the teal color to make up the design. Very vintage colors!
The apron pocket is made from a Battenburg doily. Vintage white lace is dropped slightly from the straight-edged bodice top. Another row of lace is at the top of the bottom ruffle. Different vintage buttons are at the bodice lace and the pocket corners. Burgundy bias tape trims the edges and is used for the neck and waist ties.
The apron waist is 27 inches.
The length is 32 inches.
The ties are 28 inches.
This apron best fits sizes medium to large.
