Blue Apron from Vintage Stamped Cloth with Embroidery / Apron for Woman Fits Sizes XS-S

This very special apron is made from a pre-stamped and embroidered cloth found in an Iowa antique store. In a wonderful shade of blue (the last photo shows the color best), the apron features lovely designs from black embroidery thread. Different floral patterns are at the top center and bottom corners. The highlight, however, is the embroidered face of a young woman in a hat. The design also happens to be open at the hat top to form a small pocket. Different black tapes were used to trim the edges and for the neck and waist ties.

The age of this fabric makes it very fragile -- hand wash cold and laying flat to dry are recommended. There also are a few rust and faded spots (see last photos), but they are small and do not take away from the beauty and originality of this apron. It is best used for decoration or as a collector item for someone who enjoys aprons or embroidery.

The apron waist is 16 inches.
