The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia provides aeromedical services to rural areas of the country, and this vintage apron and tea towel set is a great reminder of their work. In brand new condition and never used, this set is a beautiful pink rose and white. I have not washed or ironed this apron, so the original fold marks as I found the apron in an antique store remain as shown in the photos. They were not in the original packaging.
Beginning in 1928, the service is celebrating 90 years. Its logo has changed over this time, and the one shown on the apron and tea towel is from the 1950s, according to the organization's website. Both the towel and apron are pink, and feature the logo in white in the center. White trim is around the logo. The apron features small tucks at the waistline and a single pocket on the right side.
The organization is still providing necessary services, and this set is priced the same as an apron/towel set you can buy today from its' website. If you live in Australia, it would be less expensive to have the set shipped to someone in the United States, who can then mail it to you as a gift. The fees listed on my site are business rates.
The apron waist is 17 inches.
The length is 17 inches.
The ties are 22 inches.
This apron best fits sizes XS to L.
The tea towel is quite large, measuring 19 inches by 28 inches. It also could be used as a table topper.
