Pillsbury's Best Feeds Sack Apron with Blue Strap Fits Sizes S - M - L

Sorry, this item has sold.

Pillsbury's Best XXXX Feeds is the logo featured on this apron from an authentic vintage feed sack.

The round logo shows clearly a large blue circle on the beige background with "Pillsbury's Best Feeds" in beige and "XXXX" in red. Smaller red dots surround the circle.

My research shows this logo was patented in 1942, with the purpose of the feeds for "poultry, turkeys, hogs, cattle, sheep, horses, mules, goats, rabbits, dogs and various wild animals held in captivity." While the age of the sack cannot be verified, it is a real feed sack and not a reproduction.

Under the logo are the words "Reg. U.S. Pat Off." in red. Further down are these words in red and blue:
Maxi-Meal
Hog Concentrate
Pillsbury Feed Mills
Division Pillsbury Flour Mills Company
Clinton, Iowa
Mills At
Minneapolis - Atchison - Clinton - Ogden - Colton
Los Angeles - Sacramento And San Francisco
100 Lbs. Net

The apron is trimmed blue. To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck tie where desired. Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.

The apron does have a few issues, including general stains as are typical of this age of sack. There are larger, darker spots on the bodice top and around and on the logo. One patch was made on the bodice top to cover a rust area. There also are several smaller rust spots, and a black spot. Please consider all of these factors before purchase.

The bodice width is 11 inches.
The waist is 31 1/2 inches.
The length is 34 inches from the top bodice center to the hemline.
The waist ties are each 30 inches.
This apron best fits women's sizes small, medium or large.

* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. Photos show the design and print darker than in actuality. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, due to the vintage quality there may be age marks not noted specifically. Also, finding some or many seeds or feed pieces caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seed/feed pieces have already been removed, but some may remain.
