Larro Scratch Grains Feed Sack Apron Fits Sizes S - M - L

$60.00

Larro Scratch Grains once was contained in the feed sack that is now an apron. Scratch grains are a mixture of several types of grains that helps chickens maintain their natural tendency to forage.

The main design of the apron is a target board done in red and blue. The words printed across the middle of this area are:
100 Lbs. Net
Larro
Egg Mash
Farm Tested

General Mills, Inc.
Distributors
General Offices - Minneapolis, Minn.

The words Larro Scratch Grains also appear vertically on each side of the main design. Also on the apron front is a small circle mark that indicates the mash is part of "Gold Medal Feeds." At the top is a box telling about wash-out inks. Like many vintage feed sacks, over time the ink has not disappeared, but instead remains for our delight. Of course, many washings may remove the print. (I do machine wash and dry all vintage feed sacks before making them into aprons.) Cold water wash and line dry are recommended to prevent fading and shrinking.

The apron is trimmed blue. To adjust the length, simply place a knot in the neck tie where desired.

Even though the bag used for the apron is in good condition, there are a few issues, including general stains as are typical of this age of sack, and some darker spots here and there. One patch was made on the bodice top. (See photos for a better look at these issues, and contact me with any questions.) Please consider all of these factors before purchase.

The bodice width is 11 inches.
The waist is 31 inches.
The length is 36 inches from the top bodice center to the hemline.
The waist ties are each 31 inches.
This apron best fits women's sizes small, medium or large.

* Please keep in mind this apron was created from an authentic vintage cloth sack. Photos show the design and print darker than in actuality. While the apron is described as accurately as possible, due to the vintage quality there may be age marks not noted specifically. Also, finding some or many seeds or feed pieces caught in the fabric is quite common. The bags have been washed at least once and many seed/feed pieces have already been removed, but some may remain.
